At the end of the group phases (calendar/results) of these Paralympic Games of Tokyo 2020, a ranking was established between the eight participating teams to determine the teams which will participate to the final phase of the tournament.
The top two teams in each group (A and B) will advance to the semi-finals (1A vs 2B and 2A vs 1B). The remaining teams will play the classification matches as follows :
- the two teams that finished last in their group will play the game for the 7th and 8th place of the final ranking
- The two teams in third place at the end of the group stages will play the match for the 5th and 6th place of the final ranking
